Mitzy Kenny of Ridgeley W.Va: Anti-war demonstrations give the enemy hope
Below: A rare photograph of Mitzy Kenny of Ridgeley, W. Va? WHO ELSE thinks this sounds like "Wag The Dog" White House-orchestrated Karl Rove BULLSHIT?

WASHINGTON - Cindy Sheehan, the California woman who has used her son's death in Iraq to spur the anti-war movement, was arrested Monday while protesting outside the White House. Sheehan and several dozen other protesters sat down on the sidewalk after marching along the pedestrian walkway on Pennsylvania Avenue. Police warned them three times that they were breaking the law by failing to move along, then began making arrests. Sheehan, 48, was the first taken into custody. She stood up and was handcuffed, then led to a police vehicle while protesters chanted, "The whole world is watching."

The protest following a massive demonstration Saturday on the National Mall that drew a crowd of 100,000 or more, the largest such gathering in the capital since the war began in March 2003.

On Sunday, a rally supporting the war drew roughly 500 participants. Speakers included veterans of World War II and the war in Iraq, as well as family members of soldiers killed in Iraq.

"I would like to say to Cindy Sheehan and her supporters don't be a group of unthinking lemmings. It's not pretty," said Mitzy Kenny of Ridgeley, W.Va., whose husband died in Iraq last year. The anti-war demonstrations "can affect the war in a really negative way. It gives the enemy hope."

2. How much longer will Mitzy pretend that this war will have a
favorable outcome, if only we try harder?

3. You mean negative as in how it's going now?
Mass protests may cause a change in the way this "reconstruction" effort is being executed. That, Mitzy Kenny from Ridgeley, WV, is a very positive thing!

4. Unthinking Lemmings?
"...don't be a group of unthinking lemmings"

If you want to see an unthinking lemming, honey, look in the mirror! We ARE the ones who are thinking!

5. Those were the two words that gave the piece a "Tokyo Rose" flavor...
...and for those who are too young to remember who Tokyo Rose was:

...she became famous for her propaganda broadcasts to American GIs in World War II, telling them that while they were fighting a "futile" war, their sweethearts back home were screwing the milkman, the mailman, etc.

6. I'm confused
Mitzy Kenny said the troops are fighting a "futile" war also, like Tokyo Rose?

7. No, I'm using Tokyo Rose as an example.
Just like Tokyo Rose said the war was futile, "Mitzy Kenny" says that Anti-War protests "give the enemy hope."

Same concept, different ways of expressing the same erroneous thinking.

8. Oh, thanks
After re-reading, I wasn't sure if you were saying Mitzy Kenny was saying the war was futile or if Cindy Sheehan was saying it and she was a Tokyo Rose.

Considering the war in Iraq is futile, that's probably not a good example.
