1. When you see him take charge
as we saw him in NOLA, we can't help admire him, and regret that he is not THE Man in charge. He is a man of fine character and great strength.

4. I like him more on the personal level
but politically, my opinion hasn't changed. He has to show more a lot more to get on my radar for '08.

9. Big shots in the party asked him not to. That's one reason when he's asked
if he left the Democratic Party, he says, "No, the party left me."

12. He was a real class act in reference to bringing a plane in to evacuate...
the sick from New Orleans. He didn't try to get publicity or photo ops -- he just went in and got the job done on his dime. That's class.

14. As Bush is increasingly perceived as a pre-pubescent ninny,

Gore's profile as a problem-solving adult with a genuine world view naturally rises.

Al could suit up and play hard for this nomination in 08, and he could win it, too.

I think he'd take the general election and likely go on to be a true servant of the people, at least a hell of a lot more than Dubya.

15. The increase is clearly due to the combination of
Iraq
NOLA flights
Katrina-global warming

I cannot see any other explanation why all of a sudden so many threads would be about him here
