2. Oh yeah...every other thread seems to be about Brownnose,
but I'm just wondering if we're going to hear from James Lee Witt at some point in these hearings.

Since he was head of FEMA during the Clinton years, and since FEMA under his leadership was a crackerjack organization populated with dedicated experts who knew their jobs and did them well...

I just want to know if we're going to hear from Witt, and if not, WHY NOT???

4. Also--in the week after Katrinia, there were innumerable stories
about FEMA turning away skilled teams of first responders and other Good Samaritans (even Walmart) who went to New Orleans to help--often on their own initiative; were prevented by FEMA from entering the area; and more often than not, simply gave up after awhile and returned home.

I haven't seen any discussion of these allegations in a couple of weeks now. Has anyone else seen anything at all? All I've seen is liars like Brown claiming that it was LA Homeland Security who threw up the roadblocks and made cooperation between state and federal agencies impossible.

Somebody tell me this isn't a major coverup. To me, this is one of the 2 or 3 most appalling and frightening aspects of the galactic clusterfuck that is Katrina and the reaction/response thereto.

5. Rep Steve Buyer isn't. He is trying to help FEMA cover for anything
and everything by blaming LA for everything.
