FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) -- A military jury at Fort Hood, Texas, Tuesday sentenced Army Pfc. Lynndie England to three years behind bars for her role in detainee abuse at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison.

England's sentencing wrapped up the last of nine courts-martial of low-level soldiers charged in the abuse scandal.

The jury of five Army officers needed about 90 minutes to determine their sentence for England, a 22-year-old reservist from rural West Virginia.

England sat with her eyes forward as the verdict was read, occasionally looking down. Earlier, she apologized for posing in graphic photos of prisoners, saying she was only trying to please her soldier-boyfriend. England, convicted Monday of prisoner mistreatment, directed blame for her conduct toward Pvt. Charles Graner Jr. during her unsworn statement Tuesday. "I was used by Pvt. Graner," England said. "I didn't realize it at the time."

2. Such a good caring liberal you are.
Isn't there enough hate on the dark side without us imitating them.

7. She was obviously a pawn.
It doesn't excuse her abhorrent behavior but it's quite obvious she didn't come up with this shit on her own and neither did Graner. They were ordered to do these things from on high. Unfortunately, the true orchestrators of these horrible crimes will never be charged.

10. What a sociopath!
No remorse except that she regrets being punished. Our prisons are full of criminals like England.

11. It's all bullshit
she was used as a pawn by the government to show the American sheeple that we do not put up with torture. She deserves to go to prison and so do many many more like her and above her. But that we will never see.
