It is a Felony under TX law, |
|
the count is about laundering $190,000 not sure if that is the amount.
Per Jeff Tubin at CNN.
Thing is, this has to be the very top tip of DeLay's iceberg of crime and unethical treatment.

1. I seem to remember Molly Ivis saying Tom found the one law |
|
in Texas about fund raising and broke it - which is a neat trick. However I think the rest of the stuff he was doing, while unethical as hell, was not illegal in Texas. Which again brings one to stand in awe of Delay's Hubris.

2. But his ties to crook Abramoff |
|
are big, close, and stinky.
He helped keep women in forced labor and prostitution in the Mariana Islands, a commonwealth of the US.
He wouldn't allow a bill to make our labor laws apply there come to the floor for a vote.

The same prosecutor brought an indictment that was immediately thrown out of court against Kay Bailey Hutchison shortly after she was elected to the Senate.

I saw a post here not just a few moments ago that Earle had declined to pursue the indictment at trial and so she got a directed acquittal. That's different than it being quashed over the prosecutor's objections.

|
Bush can't pardon it, can he?
