Can you imagine what that day would be like? That would mean so much to me. You can never fix the calamity, the utter disaster that Bush's reign has been, you can never take back the crime of his being allowed to assume the office of the president, but knowing that the man who really *did* win that Election Day in November of 2000 was finally being sworn into the office he'd earned...

16. I saw Mr. Gore in 1992

He spoke at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. It was the first time I ever went to listen to a politician speak. It was a great experience. The auditorium was overflowing. I was at the back and still got eye contact. My gut feeling was "This is a trustworthy man". I voted for President-elect Gore in 2000 and I will definitely vote for him again if he decides to run.

...that Gore actually won in 2000. I suspect that there are many in this country that don't get it yet. Once a significant number of these people could be introduced to the facts surrounding that travesty, they would draw the connection to the disastrous 8 years that followed being the result of a great crime agains the American people, and a huge number of them would clamor to restore President Gore to his rightful place at the head of government.

Under the right conditions, Gore could be a shoo-in for President in '08. Especially if the Republican party continues to implode at the current rate.

Throughout this ordeal, he has been oftentimes the ONLY politician willing to stand up and say the hard truths. The Iraq War Resolution, he was there, opposing it. Election 2004, he was there, speaking the truth about voter suppression and dirty tricks.

I say it is his fate to win the Presidency - and SERVE - in 2008, for 8 years...Here's why
First he was an elected member of the House of Representatives for 8 years.
Then he was an elected member of the Senate for 8 years.
Next he was elected Vice President for 8 years.
After which he was denied his service in an election HE WON, and was out of government - for 8 years.
Today we need, we have to have, someone who can govern to solve specific issues and problems. This is Al Gore's greatest gift: when he has to tackle an issue, any issue, he soaks up info like a sponge, he processes it, and then he works on fixing it. He uses reliable experts in their field. He studies and expects to hear all sides before coming to decisions or conclusions. HE THINKS. All the Gods and Goddesses know we cannot take another president who doesn't think.
Of course, he's also been against the Iraq war from the start, wanted to keep SS safe, understood the threat from terrorism that actually does exist, cares about the environment, and on and on. He was for public financing of campaigns to shut down the corps & lobbyists waayyy before anyone else.

It's syncronicity at work, fate, karma; whatever you call it - finally - THIS IS AL GORE'S TIME. I believe it.

In the interests of full disclosure, I add that he is one of the sexiest men on the planet. Brains, looks, a kind and loving heart, and faithful - still crazy about his wife after all these years. What more could a woman ask for?
