2. Well, it will certainly bring the crime rates down
Just make sure you kill your victim in a public area and say the magic words, "He's comin' right at me!" I predict the Florida murder rate will approach zero now that it's been legalized.

But common sense? Just how fucking stupid ARE people in Florida?

7.  I always vote for the other guy.
But, hey, if someone shoots a policeman because he fears police brutality, would that be a defense?

8. come on up - I did and it was the best thing I ever did for me and my kids
When I left FL over 25 years ago it was still fairly blue. I wouldn't move back now for any amount of money and I shudder constantly over the mess it's become.

And I come from several generations of Floridians on both sides of the fam...

I was going to propose a very sarcastic example but thought better of it.

This is a stupid law and will be proven to be so in a very short period of time.

14. I didn't read the fine print when I first heard about this one...
I just thought it applied to home invasion type things. Before the law stated that you HAD to try to retreat, and the only time you were legally allowed to attack an intruder is if you were in a room with only one exit and the intruder was BLOCKING your exit.
Which is kind of stupid. I'm all for gun control and whantot, but if someone is in my house, threatening my life, I should have a choice between fight or flight. I shouldn't be forced BY LAW to retreat and let the intruder have his way.
I didn't realize it applied in public situations and it was this loose of an interpetation though.
