Wonder how "blind" Cheney's "blind trust" really is....

hope some enterprising investigative journalist were to take up this question - given Cheney's office's direct involvement in securing no-bid HUGE contract's for Halliburton.

Cheney claims that it is blind. And that he "will donate in the future" any proceeds from sales of his stocks and stock options related to Halliburton.

But Cheney also told us of nuclear mushroom clouds (he knew that to be a lie.)

Cheney also told us that Halliburton had had NO business with Saddam - only to be forced later to admit that they were the largest business partner of Saddam in the business of rebuilding the Iraqi oil fields (that is - without Halliburton's massive profits from those contracts - there would have been little oil for the "oil for food scandal.")

So he has a bit of a veracity problem. And a bit of a greed problem.

Any chance that there is a MUCH bigger story than Frist's per "blind trusts" and conflict of interest... just lurking beneath the surface with Cheney?

When I hear of these CEO's who make 20 or 30 million a year, I have to wonder: just how much money does one person NEED in a year anyway? Hell, I'd be happy if I made 100 grand a year. I'd think I was rich! At what point does the greed become abstract? The actual money doesn't matter as much as the process of making it... getting it any way possible. I don't understand the mindset either. These people already have enough money to live comfortably the rest of their lives.

were this to be a reality per Cheney - I doubt the public would accept the "they all do it." Esp with the public turning against the war. A replay of how hard he worked to sell it in the first place? Bet that would wake some folks up.

knows how far they were underwater (and thus value-less), and he knows H was losing a BILLION dollars a year for the two years before the run-up to Iraq, so.....what's the point of it being blind? Someone is authorized to manage and make decisions on behalf of the trustee. Is that person or agancy bound legally not to advise the trustee of the status of the assests and prevent the person from participating in management decisions/ transactions? So is leaking info to the trustee illegal?

Gee, having money must be such a hassle! See, people are better off without it!
