House passes revised Endangered Species Act
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 08:55 AM by fighttotheend
I hate them...

What a shame, this country will be treeless, wild-lifeless and overrun by buildings and destruction. What are they doing? Kill, destroy, eliminate what stands in their way, When theres no more of anything left what will they do?

1. "Kill, destroy, eliminate what stands in their way"
That appears to be the goal.

I am sickened and disgusted by the moral vacuum that exists where congress (esp. the house)should be.

The environment doesn't stand a chance with the money mongers running the show. Only after it is too late will the majority wake up to the devastation of our planet.

3. Ralph Nader said that there was no difference between the two
parties in 2000. I hope he fucking chokes on his words today. These bastards have done everything possible to destroy everything good that the democratic party has helped bring to this country.

6. In this case
he was closer to right than you might want to admit. The Democratic "alternative" would still have eliminated the critical habitat designation, rendering it mostly useless.

Just like as in the case of the Roberts nomination, the Democratic Party has proven itself useless, gutless and bought-out.

The passing of the ESA in 1973 is what made me believe in the good that government can do, that people really did give a shit. Now I'm back to square one.

7. RE: In this case
I couldn't agree more. We have got to hold our elected accountable. We have got to choose our candidates not on some editorials boards idea of "electability" but on principals and ideals.

5. They don't care because they believe the rapture will happen in
their lifetime. Then we "godless hordes" will be stuck with the bad environment. Never underestimate religion's ability to trump logic.
