So Scooter Libby is the sacrificial lamb for the Bush Administration,
especially for Karl Rove.

What I do not get is why there was no investigation against Rove as soon as Miller's associate came clean with his source, Rove, but they are up Libby's ass already, while Rove is still got his nose up Bush's ass.

Weird.

3. I don't think that Rove is off the hook at all...

...I think that this COULD mean that, as some have speculated, Fitz could be hunting big game here, REALLY big game....Rove and Libby are the biggest names that have been leaked from the GJ, but think about who those guys report to, and how they operate....

Like I said, I think Fitz is hunting REALLY big game....

7. If Libby gets called back in to testify now, it'll be to sing on Dick,
as this will be his last chance to cut a deal.

I have the feeling that Rove has already spoken to Fitz about what he told Bush, which was probably wink-wink-nod-nod-smirk-smirk -- not enough, really, to indict the Prez. Cheney, however, is a quintessential detail man and control freak, and I can't imagine Libby would do anything without talking to the boss, first.

So, Cheney may be indicted, and expecting a pardon, is clearly preparing to resign to his new estate on the Maryland Eastern Shore. Bush is going to lose Rove, and the Republican leadership (whoever that's going to be) is going to have to ask for Bush to resign, as well, in a vain attempt to avoid electoral disaster next year.

Expect a caretaker government. Behind all this, of course is the Joint Chiefs of Staff, without Gen. Myers.

Read a little vignette I wrote of how it happened: http://leveymg.dailykos.com/story/2005/9/9/11356/61794

Just fiction, of course.

2. I don't know if this is correct
Both Libby and Rove are in massive trouble. The main difference is that with Miller ready to testify, the case is basically concluded, so things will move very fast now. We should be mere weeks from indictments, perhaps several of them.

Crunch, crunch.

5. You are either psychic, an insider, or don't have a clue.
I think it is the third choice.

Those that talk don't know and thos that know aren't talking. Fitzgerald is even better at running a leakproof ship than the Whitehouse.

13. The prince of darkness (Novak), who actually wrote the story,
squealed on his source right from the bat. If he hadn't, his butt would be more involved with this.

I think it is Karl Rove that leaked it to Novak just like he did when Poppy Bush was in office. Poppy Bush didn't play the little games that Rove tried to play back then and fired his Rush Limpball's-looking ass.

Now Dumbya is flying all over the place again. Wonder if it has to do with the New York threats? I think Dumbya needs to take pickles and his two AA daughters and ride the subway the next couple of days or a week to show they have faith in our military to protect us from another terrorist threat.

Someone did that years back to prove they were not scared and the American People Shouldn't be either. Anyone remember that or was that something on T.V.?

6. In an Admin. based on "naming" their reality, a nickname like "Scooter"
doesn't exactly strengthen one's position.

10. It looks like desperation to me
Remember, Libby isn't some low level functionary, he's the Chief of Staff for the Vice President of the United States. If there's a legal problem for Libby, there's a legal problem for Cheney. Libby's a good and loyal soldier, and will probably try to stop the investigation with himself. I don't know what might happen from there, but having an investigator training his probe on a man with an office in the White House can't possibly be good news for the corrupt Bush administration.

I think they're hoping that Fitzgerald will be sated by chomping down Libby. If he's not, though, it's trouble for a lot of other people.

I could see Scooter ratting out on fellow PNAC signatory Dick Cheney. This is wonderful watching karma in slo-mo.
