Charge: Kerry opposed the First Gulf War
Questions:

* It is true?

* How will he have an iota of a chance against Bush, if so?

* Would we want to associate our other principles on labor, civil rights, etc. with this indefensible act?

1. Most of the dem party especially our senators opposed Persian Gulf I
I do know for a fact that only 10 Democrats voted for Gulf War I and Senator Al Gore was one of them. Yes it is true, Kerry voted against the original Gulf War.

Why dont you promote your candiate. It isnt over yet. Lieberman was a senator then actually, I dont know what his vote was. How about, you promote your candiate over Kerry, instead of going Kerry Kerry Kerry Kerry on us, its not that hard.

9. Kerry, Kerry Kerry...
...can't handle either real war or class war.

You are banking on his Vietnam tour of duty, and American's won't identify with that. They will identify with self-preservation or avoiding a morally-wrong war. Kerry didn't display either instinct.

3. Bogus charge
Yes its true

What does this mean? No one is casting votes based on the 91 War

As youve been told. Most Democrats voted against that war.

4. it's true and he was 100% justified in doing so
After the Iran/Contra scandal and the S&L scandal, he knew better than to trust Poppy.

10. I can hear the echo-chamber now...
Kerry weakened support for a war against Iraq-the-invader, making Saddam's ouster unlikely.

11. I don't think that he does
Too many people have said that the vote was politically expedient at the time. It'll come back to bite the whole party on the ass in the next few years when they find out that there is no next generation of Democrats.

7. Agree... Backwardness.
BushCo and his media will roast Kerry over this now. It is an irresistable issue for them after 9-11.

Kerry has bad judgement when it comes to war. He wouldn't attack Iraq when they were strong and they invaded another country.

I don't Kerry holding all my progressive eggs in his basket. He is going to be drawn and quartered.

13. A non-issue. The press is implicated, and they will cover for Bush.

15. I'd say if Gulf War I is an issue, then how we got there is also an issue.
