Question about the Iowa strategy
Does anybody think that Dean is now wishing they'd just let Gephardt have Iowa?

They had to know going in that they were much much stronger than Gephardt in almost every other place. Besides the big "mo" what was the rationale of fighting so hard for Iowa?

Think what a different race it would be if Dean & Gephardt didn't implode in Iowa.

Considering the polls in NH before Iowa... I think it would have been a strong win for Dean. Clark and Kerry would have had a good fight for second, with Clark winning by about 10 points. Then Edwards or Gephardt take 4th.

Just seems to me that the Iowa prize for Dean wasn't worth it.

Of course I realize hindsight is always 20/20.

If the Clark campaign could have even imagined what would happen to Dean & Gephardt there's no way they would have sat out of Iowa. I have no doubt that after the implode of Dean & Gerhardt that Clark would have done very very well in Iowa. I think sitting out of Iowa will haunt the Clark folks for a long time.

I will never understand why two states get to determine the fate of this election.
