All I can say is that we have some fundementally rotten people on this board. They number only about 40 or so and they support almost all the candidates, but they share one common trait: They lie, decieve, twist, contort, and do all manner of unscrupulous activities to bend people their way. These people know damned well who they are and if they don't then they are so far gone I don't know what to say.

One thing I have found though is that the root of the problem here is the fact that people who support a candidate will believe anything or twist anything that may hurt another candidate. THIS IS DISPICABLE. Those who participate in this practice are the lowest scum I have ever seen. All they do is lie and what's worse is that I'm not sure that they know they're lying, but if they do know and they continue to do it it is even lower.

I hope to God that these people are not representative of the Democratic Party as a whole because if they are, I'm leaving not only these boards, but the process all together.

As it is, I can not compete with people who don't live in reality and who don't except truth for what it is. Because of this, I must leave this board and hope I can return when things are better. I will hang around the other General Discussion forum and the other forums we have here, but not this hell hole of a discussion board. It mentally pains me to come here anymore.

problem, and leave the system altogether because of a few bad apples, than try to put your shoulder to the grindstone and fight against them and fight to make the system what it should be. While I certainly understand and share your disgust and frustration, giving up and leaving altogether is most assuredly NOT the way to deal with it!

8. I made a rule long ago

not to post in threads that just attack another person, espeically the ones that seem based in lies.

It seems these are the ones that flame away on this board, which baffles me. If you don't post in it, it soon gets buried. This board is so active, that even 30 minutes with no posts puts on the 2nd or 3rd page. I know I seldom go beyond that.

Most of us here are willing to provide source information on thinmgs we say. Lets face it with Google and other search engines available sourcing your data is not dificult to do.

When I see a post that seems far fetched, I ask for the source. If the source is not believable or doesn't exist, I feel free to ignore that "fact that everybody knows."

13. Agree! I think some are posting that stuff just to get an angry reply so

the person who replies gets a "warning." I've seen it too many times. Terrible distortions, and gleeful trashing just for the sake of disruption on here.

The whole point is to turn off political discussion with some of them. And, they are definitely sucessful when folks have to leave DU.

But, that "Ignore" function works wonders. I just used if for the first time today and got two of them. I don't plan to come back in here, but if I do, I won't have to read trash.
