With Kerry winning the first primary election he got a HUGE boost.. undecided voters decided that he was presidential material.. so they voted for him now, now even MORE ppl will switch to Kerry especially the Lieberman guys etc who knows it's over for them.

I was worried about getting too far ahead and celebrating too early, but Kerry is just going to storm this election.

I felt this from day one. When democrats walk into the voting booth they're gonna choose John Kerry because he's the best man.

It is over. Kerry is going to win South Carolina. I predict it here first.

I said Kerry would win New Hampshire with 40%, he got 39%. I think the big momentum push is gonna clear all the other candidates like a bowling ball toppling pins.

It's going to be a short primary, much to the dismay of the media who wants us to attack and slime eachother and tear us apart for months so the winner has no time to prepare for the Bush smear machine.

or the west. The only person that i feel this race is over for is Howard Dean because he has no momentum and no power in the early southern polls.

We're entering the south and midwest - Clark and Edwards country. Kerry has a huge advantage but will he have the momentum to capture the flag.

Even if it were over, they should hope the other candidates stay in the race until the end and argue that it is still open. You don't want to give the GOP extra time to bash the nominee, do you?

Here's why, it can come out and it can be a long fight and Kerry can raise ALL the money he needs to counter any charges against him.

If he puts away Dean early, and Edwards early by squeaking out some southern and midwestern states, then he can get the early run on all the BIG MONEY $2,000 donors and small donors who would otherwise spread it around three candidates.

The goal is get there as fast as possible, soak up cash and put your heat sheilds up as you crisscross the country and start running a general election campaign.

Don't foget, Kerry is fighting Bush, not Dean or Clark or Edwards. If we can give any of these candidates a leg up, we should do it. Obviously the people outside of DU want Kerry. And not Dean, and not Clark.

Edwards they kinda like, but probably didn't see enough of.

If Kerry wins by 2 or 3 points in South Carolina, it'll be shocking, and it'll be over. I think Al Sharpton will eat up votes from Edwards, and I think Kerry will eat up votes from Clark.

And Dean isn't polling any better than 10% in that state. If Kerry gets three straight wins, it's over.

He has no organization there and he's already polling 2nd. At 17% behind Edwards' 21%.

That's shocking. And by the end of the week, Kerry will be up by 2 points. And he'll win.

21. You know what, I've donated $ to the Dean campaign,

and if Kerry gets the nod, I'll certainly vote for him over bush, but I will never send Kerry a penny. He'll get my vote because I have no where else to go, but my pocketbook? That's another issue entirely.

In fact, if Dean dropped out and Kucinich stayed in, I'd write a check to DK that very day.

Once the Democratic primary is settled the press will either ignore or bash the winner right up until the November election. Better to keep a race going as long as possible to keep them focused.

8. Consider that Iowa and NH had over a year to look at everyone

and a lot of them considered Kerry presidential material- enough to give him clear wins and separate him from the rest of the pack.
But let's see what happens in the next set of states. I honestly see Dean having a good chance in North Dakota, maybe New Mexico.

-- Will the media come out with gun's blazing at Kerry? YES. How will this affect him?

-- Will Edwards & Clark do very well in the next two weeks?

-- How is Sharpton going to do in the South? If he does not do well, how will those who were going to vote for him break out their support.

-- How will those people who are inclined to vote for Edwards, Clark, Sharpton, Lieberman & Kucinich divide if it turns into a two person race between Dean & Kerry. Same question if it turns into a race between Kerry & Edwards, or Kerry & Clark; or any other of the possible two or three person matchups?

15. Kerry's got to show in the South and West

that he's got national appeal. If it proves not, then voters who might have swung away from voting Bush will swing back to voting Bush. This is a great danger, so we have to wait and see - we'd be crazy to unify prematurely. We have to get through February before we can evaluate this point fairly.

If Kerry does well in the south and west, then it's his and it should be his. If he doesn't do well with Democrats in those regions then he'd be a disaster in the general election. Hopefully, the process will work and give us the right candidate. Then, almost as important, that candidate has to pick the right running mate. It's going to be an interesting few weeks coming up.
