Kerry takes message to Iowa work sites
The 24 hour Real Deal Tour

"I know how hard you're working," he said to about 40 construction workers at the Mississippi Plaza, a building with glass walls being built in downtown Davenport. "I've never seen the workplace in America as unfair as it is today. Big money is walking away with the prize, and the average person in America is carrying the weight."

"Mr. Kerry impressed me," Montez said. "I thought he was pretty honest about what he said. He had some good ideas for health care. All the questions he answered, rattled off with precision."

"I know he's a veteran, and I imagine all the veterans are kind of like working people," Montez said. "He was in the Vietnam War. I have brothers who were in the Vietnam War, so that's kind of like something I can compare with. I was in the National Guard myself."

"I promise you, when I get in there - I've been fighting this as a senator, and I'm going to fight it as a president," Kerry said. "We're going to shut down those loopholes that stick you guys with the bill."

1. Which message?
What are his advisors telling him this week?

2. Lighten up, Dean supporter
At least Kerry doesn't lie about having a brother in the armed forces for political gain.

Give it a rest.

4. You forgot to mention DEAD brother.
So a little jibe about Kerry's waffling is equitable with using Dean's POW dead brother? Certainly glad I don't know you personally.

6. I wish Dean hadn't done that
It really was despicable.
