Democrats/progressives/anti-war people will all vote for Kerry in the GE
Regardless of the silly internet message-board posturing. They may say they won't beforehand and didn't afterwards, but don't believe it.

After the 2000 fiasco and Nader, when they get to the polls, left-leaning people will do what it takes to get Bush out of office.

Bank on it.

2. If Kerry wins the nomination
You know, since New Hampshire doesn't get to decided the candidate for the rest of the country.

3. It would help if Kucinich were on the ticket.
That would pull in the whole left.

5. It is simply stunning to me
that these bullying demands and expectations are THE ONLY WAY you can attempt to rally support for Kery. THAT is pathetic.

8. I think plenty of support was rallied in Iowa and NH
I just don't believe Democrats that say they wouldn't vote for Kerry in the GE. They will.

I'll vote for the Dem nominee, who ever it is.

9. Anti-war people vote for Kerry?
I don't know, do you really think Kerry is someone anti-war people can identify with?

What makes you think the anti-war vote won't go to this man:

10. That might be what you are hoping
but don't count on it - the base will again be crapped on, another luke warm middle of the road flip flopper will run and guess what? it's dejavou all over again (mid terms)

the Democratic Party must return to it's base or they WILL stay home.

13. Not hardly.
Kerry is another elitist like Bush and a skull and boneman to boot. He has no message other than he thinks it's his turn to be elected. Seriously, I will look for a 3rd party candidate who speaks for change before voting for a status quo candidate like Kerry.

14. that seems a bit presumptuous.
I'd be wary of speaking for that many folks in that varied a group. I'm more comfortable with the man than I once was, but that's just me, and there's that whole "campaign" thing.

15. If he's the Dem nominee, yes. Hell, I'll work for his campaign then.
Until then, if that then ever comes, it's Dean. And if it's Dean who's the candidate, I hope you'll vote for, even work for, him.

16. This may be true, but the Dems need to look farther ahead
than November.

The Nader voters may have learned their lesson, but the establishment Dems have obviously not gotten the message that was being sent to them.

If Bush loses in November, don't expect to see the progressives lie down. Kerry doesn't bother me, what does bother me is to see how far to the right the mainstream has gotten where someone like Dennis Kucinich is off the radar screen.

Kerry does have a decent liberal record, and I hope he's campaigning farther to the center than he'd actually govern. I intend to remain active & keep him honest. I'm not going to fall asleep again like I did in the Clinton years.
