5. Here's my theory as "other" voter #2

Dean has his supporters, those still undecided like his fiery side and experience but wanted more foreign policy bite for their vote = Kerry

Clark has his supporters, those still undecided like his foreign policy experience and to the left policy leanings but wanted more experience = Kerry

Edwards has his supporters, those still undecided like his positive attitude and fiery attitude fighting for the underdog but wanted more experience, general and foreign policy = Kerry

Lieberman has his supporter, those still undecided like his foreign policy and experience but wanted someone more liberal = Kerry

Kucinich and Sharpton supporters stayed with their guy mainly, a few Join the Bandwagon types surely went for the frontrunner = Kerry

Kerry has his supporters, those leaning were enticed by the frontrunner status from Iowa(See above reasons for that)

In summary it sounds like Kerry is the answer to the nominating question, but I get the feeling he's more like a "Plan B" for the most part rather than an out and out solution.

Make no doubt though, I'd vote for him twice if I could, or any other Dem over bush*master 2004.

Of course, now he's on every network. But he won Iowa by his own sweat and blood. And you people here are trying to blame/credit (all the same if you're anti-Kerry) for Kerry's rise, as well as Dean's fall. Let us not forget who was the media darling in the summer of 03 when people just couldn't get enough of the plucky governor.

I think Kerry won because of hard work, great support from vets and firefighters, and the inability of Dean to hold some of his looser supporters.

The only time I saw Kerry's name mentioned in the news was about how his campaign was a poor man's Dean, or how he was floundering in NH while Dean was magnificent. Media, yeah right. Wishful thinking.

Dean ran a campaign of novelty, Clark is a political neophyte, Edwards is inexperienced and Gephardt is old news.

People just want to beat Bush, whatever the platform. Kerry doesn't have the strengths of the other candidates, but he doesn't have their apparent weakness, either. With so much on the line, I think people chose a cautious compromise.
