Furthermore, about voting Democratic...
The favored tack to take around here is "You're just saying that" because you've bought Media Spin X, or "You're just saying that" because you've bought Media Spin Y.

Anyone who refuses to vote against Bush in November, regardless of the nominee, has bought completely into Media Spin Z. Z being, of course, the end of things.

8. YOU are Dennis's press guy?
Oh, the wonders of the universe!

I stand amazed.

Hopefully you will continue writing once this campaign is over. Who knows? There might be a book in it. I'm sure working the Kuchinich campaign will provide huge amounts of material.

Good luck to you, indeed.

3. As Kucinich's press secretary, how do you think he's been handled by...
the media?

6. I've seen him speak at major local events and then get no coverage.
I think the press is afraid of a Kucinich Presidency. Good luck on handling the press.

29. Maybe
But there are also the cases (at least one is documented) where the press covered one candidate -Dean in this instance- and then walked out with him rather than stay and cover Dennis who was up next. That's blatant favoritism.

4. I agree
But I will definitely enjoy voting more if anyone but Dean is the nominee. It would be really great if it were Dennis.

:)
Yeah it would be great if Dennis was the nominee. It would be great too if I got to meet him again. Hes definely the best man in this race and the one I like the most and respect the most.

14. What "things"?
Nothing lasts forever. Endings are a MAJOR fact of life on this planet. Beginnings always require the ending of something(s).

From a practical POV, there will be a few to MANY who choose to vote for *B*, not because of Media Spin Z, or even for the end of "things". But rather because they are Republicans and want that man to run this country. So "anyone" is a very vague term used in a rather lose manner for yet another attempt to influence through fear and intimidation. Perhaps.

18. Can I have your ear, Will

I understand that Kucinich has to claw his way through the shout journalist to say his talking points as they would much rather ask him frivolity like "Why do you go on?" I understand he has to taylor all messages to the situation and that cannabis policy is not a mainstream issue.

Point 1- DK is the clear choice and voice for someone that is what is now known as a cannabist.

Point 2- There is a great deal of support for DK in the cannabis community

Point 3- 4:20 represents a certain expression that makes it a magic number in cannabis circles

Point 4- I advocated people donating $4.20 when Dean was asking for $3

Point 5- DK lost a lot of money because his minimum donation was $5 over the Internet. I would think it would help him to lower it to $4 and if he had the nerve or let us say if he found it prudent to write in "Minimum donation is $4.20", people would go nuts. You might not believe me but people would have donated $4.20 every pay check and it would be a bragging right

Point 6- If he would like to really be intellectual on medical cannabis, he would recognize the real and immediate problem. That would be the vicious and malicious classification of cannabis as a Schedule 1 narcotic. Dr. Russo, who is a leading expert in this field, and a consultant to GW Pharmaceuticals in the UK that will soon be introducing their first cannabis extract about May or June, will be speaking in Vancouver on the proper classification of cannabis this Saturday.

Schedule 1 classification has barred all research and prevented states from providing cannabis without federal interference.

I can tell you more, but it is one of those things you have to be receptive on. On an intellectual level, a candidate should call for the proper classification. I would accept Dr. Russo's expert opinion on that. The Schedule 1 classification is not regarded by someone that reads on it as a mistake of classification. It is regarded as a lie. Here is a quote from Dr Russo- "I've Been Explicit...Schedule I listing for cannabis is a lie."- http://www.cannabisnews.com/news/thread17966.shtml#2

I also suggested the "March on Washingtons campaign" at the DK forums as many states have a Washington. I wrote People that love, love Kucinich and of course $4.20 for Dennis

Sorry to be so wordy.

21. It's like a drowning man . . .
Refusing to vote for the eventual Democratic nominee because your favorite candidate didn't win, is sort of like a drowning man refusing to use a life jacket because it isn't the color he wanted.

Does he end up drowning (and taking the rest of us with him) because he's unwilling to consider that maybe it isn't made of lead?

If it helps to enable a bush win, it's like snatching the life supporters away from all the people around you, as well. :(
