Were Dean's Trippi-produced ads really that bad?

Honestly, I only saw some of the early ones. Dean talked about taking back our country and taking on Bush. They were simple, but I don't remember thinking they were bad. It seemed quite a few here on DU also liked them.

But were the later ads in Iowa and NH just terrible or something?

They were just weird, and at times, pornographic.

That was over the top.

2. the ads were terrible because even the "new" ads kept using

shots and clips from old ads, so it basically was a revamp of the old ads.

Dean came off as too folksy in those ads compared to the sharp crispness of Clark's ads.

5. Part of the reason Kerry won Iowa... Kerry's ads

were that much better than Dean's.
