Wonder how many DUers remember his short stint as McGovern's VP in '72? BTW, what's new on the Gephardt endorsement front?

6. I dont remember that stunt because I was negative 15 back then
I dont know about Gephardt but I hear it will come after the primary or something like that. If he got Gep that would be lovely, I am a big fan of Dick Gephardt for his efforts with labor.

12. lol yeah
do the math, makes me 16 now, I turn 17 this summer. I wonder who McGovern's eventual VP will endorse, Sargent Shriver hes still living I believe, I see him endorsing Kerry because Kerry has Kennedy connections and Shriver married Eunice Kennedy, plus Kerrymentum :). Too bad Kathleen Kennedy Townsend wasnt elected governor of Maryland because I would see her easily getting behind her uncle's good friend.

5. Thanks for posting this, JohnKleeb...complete with photos.
John Kerry earned these endorsements by running a great comeback campaign to win in Iowa and New Hampshire.

9. The Comeback Kerry :)
He really has been, I enjoyed his victory speech in NH, and I believe he quoted Shakespeare, this band of brothers or something like that.

11. sure thing
I really wonder now being that my state primary is close, who my governor Mark Warner will endorse and ex senator Chuck Robb will, I see Robb as a likely Kerry man, Robb and Kerry were together in congress for about 15 years and Robb is a fellow vet. For Warner it could be but I really am not sure because Warner is pretty moderate, if things were like how they were a few weeks back, I would see him endorsing Dean being they both get good grades from the NRA then again that still could happen. I dont know how the polls in VA are looking honest though.
