"Bush Lowers Temperature of Iraq War Debate" = Dose of public ire
"BEIJING - After fiercely defending his Iraq policy across Asia, President Bush abruptly toned down his attack on war critics Sunday and said there was nothing unpatriotic about opposing his strategy.

"People should feel comfortable about expressing their opinions about Iraq," Bush said, three days after agreeing with Vice President Dick Cheney that the critics were "reprehensible."

The president also praised Rep. John Murtha (news, bio, voting record), D-Pa., as "a fine man" and a strong supporter of the military despite the congressman's call for troop withdrawal as soon as possible.

Bush brought up the growing Iraq debate when he met reporters after inconclusive talks with President Hu Jintao about friction in U.S.-China relations. Bush ran into stiff resistance from the Chinese to his call for expanding religious freedom and human rights."

Bush would never back down unless forced to by the opinions of folk like you and me. Keep hammering 'em folks, and maybe they'll finally grow a brain. They deserve some political heat for the things they've done.

And Bush is being himself by running away to hide in Asia while his Iraq policy gets torn to shreds back home. No doubt he's getting promises from Asia that they'll (secretly) let him know when bird flu goes pandemic so he can run down to the bunker and hide out 'til it's over, and celebrate seeing all the (poor) American dead in the streets after pandemic funds were denied and medical care was cut to the bone. I despise that man.

5. Bush's "drawl" was almost gone
when he was calling Murtha a fine man, etc. It was really noticable, no drawl, no slurred words, almost as if someone (Poppy?) told him to straighten up or else.

6. Flip-flop
yet again. Um, Mr. Bush, three days ago Mr.Rove told you to attack critics of the war. Today he has obviously told you to mkae nice with them. Is that your flip-flop, or KKKarl's?
