Tweety to Sharpton: Why did you pick the scab off election 2000? |
|
Did ya see it?
Tweety went nuts on Al Sharpton for raising the issue of the selection of George Bush.
"Why did you pick that scab?"
Sharpton said it is a legitimate issue for the campaign. Tweety tried to trap him in various ways. Sharpton held on!

4. "mmm. crunchy and good with ketchup" muttered Sharpton during the break |
|

no doubt believing the mike was turned off.
edit to note that that swooshing sound you hear is Sharpton throwing the biggest ZING in US political history over the heads of 99% of white voters.

8. Crunchy and good with ketchup? |
|
I dont' get that as a black thing, but I probably missed something.
The only reference I know is a geeky sort of thing: "Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup." Not ever sure where that is from.

6. Because it's a puss-filled amputation waiting to happen |
|
I wish someone (like Sharpton) would stand up to Matthews and the rest on military votes in Florida. You don't get a pass to cast illegal votes just becuase you're in uniform. He should have said that, and asked Matthew if he thought the rapists at the Air Force Academy should be cut some slack because they where the uniform. There must be one law for everybody, or there is no law.l

7. Sharpton handled it really well |
|
Threw it right back in his face, making it quite clear that Matthews, as a white guy, has no idea what it means to be disenfranchised.
I'm glad Sharpton's in this race.

9. Let the media dwell on this 2000 selection issue |
|
Because the way we voted in year 2000 is not over and certainly not fixed. All of the candidates can and have spoken very clearly about this problem and face any questions with impunity. Sharpton answered the questions with grace and anybody watch will have the opinion that is not a little problem and needs to be fixed before the next election.

|
and it is not yet certain whether the same justices will be called on to confirm the Diebold "findings" this fall.

Maybe of ALL the debates, for that matter.
