The dems are missing the boat on this one. We should be uniting
behind DK not arguing over Dean or Kerry. Man this is a tragedy that more of us can't see that. We have an opportunity to seriously move the paradigm to the left if he were our candidate. Anyone else will help the Limbaugh's of the country by moving to the center and calling themselves the left thereby allowing positions further to the right to seem more moderate by comparison. This is a disservice to our party and our movement. Vote DK.

1. But we must realize that....
the amount of criticism from the Repubs and corporate media is directly proportional to the amount of support from the people...If Dennis was leading the pack, can you imagine some of the things that would be said about him? Just tonight, can you imagine the media uproar when he stretched out his hands and said he wanted to lay hands on America and heal it...?? :)

2. At least they would be forced to pay attention to a real liberal
progressive and his message. I think that if his message were heard by more people he would motivate people to vote. He just might make it seem like there was a palpable difference between the policies of the parties.

3. Despite how often we hear from pundits
how there isn't a shade of difference in any of the Dems' platforms.

4.  Serious misinfo. DK is decidedly more liberal.
He is the only one who is REALLY different. The others may debate semantics but DK is the only one coming out of left field ( and I mean that as a compliment.)

5. Don't get me wrong....
I love Dennis' message...especially about repeal of Nafta and a single payer system for healthcare. But some parts of his message are not polished enough to sell to enough people to make him competitive. I'm a realist and that's just the way it is. Sometimes when you are in Rome, you have to do as the Romans do. Otherwise, you may come across as a little alien....I do not mean that literally.. :)

7. BULL ... SHIT Most of the "romans" in this case don't even VOTE!
Why is that? Because there is no apparent difference. Why not give it a shot? Find out if the message got out if more people would vote...just a though. Instead of going after the middle five percent why not go after the 50+% that don't vote?

20. *heavy sigh* in all practicality you are right, but goddamn it when will
it be the right time? Bush wins, who knows if any more presidential elections

Kerry wins he gets the automatic nod in '08 if he wins again his VP will get the nod in '12 and then where does that leave the true left?

*heavy sigh* as always ABB.

That's probably because they don't want to take time to READ them! :-) But I do agree that there are far more similarities than differences, relative to *. Taking any of the "match your candidate" quizzes on the web will confirm this.

11. Been there
felt that very same way until I remembered that I have two draft age sons. Now I fear I will have to vote for Dean if he gets the nom. That being said, I have given up worrying about those who support wafflers and game players who love to freak about Dennis knowing and playing the game in ONE instance. BUT, they did succeed in bringing Dean down on that one so for what it is worth, I am simply elated that they did it.

WHat the hell was that poster talking about? God give me a coherent argument about why I am wrong don't fricking yell and throw a hissy fit because your candidate is in the midst of a choke of which pretzels, the Vikings and the PHillies would be proud.

15. I like the fact that DK is making his points, because . . .

I tend to agree with a lot of what he says. However, I'm also a realist who can't handle four more years. That's why I'm supporting the only candidate that can and will remove our mini-dictator.

Vote for Clark!

21. I have a kid that will be draft age soon
I don't have the luxury of engaging in a purist debate. Been there, done that. I love Dennis Kucinich. I was a vegan college student protesting Apartheid when he was in office. Then I looked out only for myself. Now, I have other people that depend on me. My vote can't only reflect my beliefs, I have to vote for the person that I think will help my kid and his friends( the future of America)

Don't be so easily insulted. But what I will say is that if the Dems don't adopt a lib candidate or a lib platform they will be done. Create some space and actually oppose the the party that so vehemently opposes you. Clark could do this but I haven't seen it yet. Sharpton could for sure do this.

"We should unite behind DK" Where is the respect for other peoples choices in that? Nowhere. I am supporting a liberal candidate. Maybe you should look into him and his platform. You just might be pleasantly suprised.

35. Do you really think I was issuing an imperative when I typed
'you should?" And "should" in not "have to, for god's sake or we are doomed." "Should" is not even "have to." "Should" implies "in my opinion this is the direction we SHOULD go in." Defined it can mean; used in an auxilliary function to express a request in a polite manner.

And if you have anything that will change my mind on Clark please feel free to DU-mail me.

Not in this America. Maybe you are thinking of another country because America is far from embracing the left. Maybe after a major depression or some other economic tragedy but not now.

Therefore I will not vote for him. He is too far left for me. Plus he looks like an elf. And if he can't even muster any more than 1% in the Democratic Primary, imagine how he'd fare against Bushy.
