Gen. Clark's "American Son" to Air on Local TV

Biographical Film to be Shown Saturday in Oklahoma City and Tulsa

TULSA - Oklahoma television stations will air "American Son," a 15-minute biographical film highlighting Gen. Wesley K. Clark's humble roots, military heroism and outstanding record of leadership. KOCO-TV (channel 5) in Oklahoma City and KTUL-TV (channel 8) in Tulsa will air "American Son" back-to-back on Saturday in a half-hour time slot.

"`American Son' brings Gen. Clark's remarkable background to life," said Oklahoma State Director Jessica Vanden Berg. "The son of a widowed secretary, Gen. Clark grew up in Little Rock, graduated first in his class at West Point, earned the Purple Heart in Vietnam and rose to become Supreme Allied Commander of NATO through determination, sacrifice and patriotism. The film demonstrates how Wes Clark's values of family, faith, patriotism and inclusion have directed his life - transforming a man from humble American roots into an extraordinary American leader.'"


Linda Bloodworth-Thompson, who produced Bill Clinton's biographical film "The Man from Hope," also produced "American Son."

Anyone who has seen this 18 minute film knows that it it awesome and if people really want to know who Clark is they should watch this amazing film. They will see that someone like Clark comes along but once in a life time. Yes, Clark is that amazing!

from a Dean supporter in DC. We are seeing some of the General's ads - I guess he is going for Northern VA, and they look good.

I think Dean did something like this during the summer - airing what was called an infomercial. Itwas 30 minutes or so, in some mid northern state I think.
