The youths energy and the veterans connecitons. Remember, Veterans and Seniors are huge blocks.

Seniors HATE Bush. At least, judging by what my grandma says about him. :D

The only vote Kerry didn't win was college educated liberals, if memory serves.

well, there's simply more of the young, new-to-politics people out there than there are veterans.

7. I think Kerry's vets

They have a more consistent voting record. Dean's young new-to-politics voters (me included) are too hit or miss so to speak. I thought I saw some stats that Kerry won more of the college towns in Iowa and the younger voters in NH.

Dean did get some college towns in New Hampshire, but most of the youth vote was split between him and Kerry. With Dean getting a slight advantage in voters aged 18-29.
