1. You mean it isn't?
I've had the feeling the whole thing is a charade.

The only thing we can hope for is that the tiger changes his stripes when he gets to the bench - which doesn't appear to be too likely. OTOH, we may not see Roe v Wade overturned as the repubs don't want to lose their cash cow.

5. They need the issue for sure. But then there are the flag, prayer in
school, phony issues about God in public places, hatred for gay people, and of course "the 'ol 2nd amendment".

2. yeah, she bothered me yesterday...
...with that secretive half-smile all the time. Her eyes keep roving the room, and she looks as if she's having trouble controlling her emotions. What's up with her?

3. How'd you like to sit there with a camera aimed at your mug for hours?
Can't say it'd be a lot of fun.

6. It all has to do with perceptions...
I remember Iran/Contra when Ollie North appeared before the Senate in his Marine uniform, although he never wore it on the job in the White House, and wasn't it John Poindexter's wife who appeared behind him wearing her collar? (she was a minister).

I was listening to radio during that time and remembered a talk-station where one irate caller called in and complained about the patriot, Ollie North, being "questioned by a Jap!"--Sen. Inouye of Hawaii.

So we had an American patriot in a Marine uniform and an admiral with a minister wife being questioned by the evil Democrats!

7. She knows a rope-a-dope when she sees one
They were wasting their time with minutia and tortured logic - which he disarmed - rather than the broader issues which might raise legitimate questions among the public. Sorry to say, I think we're losing this one. Is Schumer still on deck? - he might bring a little more weight to the cause. Hope it's not too late.
