13. I would say yes. IF they have a WARRANT.
Edited on Tue Jan-10-06 01:14 PM by IanDB1
Unfortunately, you now need to spell this out, since it can no longer be assumed that our rights are respected anymore.

"If Al Quaeda is sending you a Chanukah card, we wanna know about it."

I will abstain from this poll.

On edit: I'll vote no. Since the poll doesn't mention a warrant, I'll assume the question is based upon searches without warrants."

4. I voted no.
The NSA and the administration want to listen to our phone calls, track us online, read our mail, etc. What do we have left as far as privacy goes?

9. 41% YES!?!?!
If my radio wouldn't break, I'd tune in as I'm sure Limbaugh is telling all his listeners to "ditto" the poll.
Plus I'm already feeling a little sick today :(

The question isn't specific enough.

12. The real issue is whether the search should be warrantless
I wonder how many people who answered yes also agreed that the search should be without a warrant.

15. It's now asking if your emergency rooms are adequate.
A truly worthless question; adequate for what? Day to day accident and illness? A train wreck? A terrorist attack?

But I suppose, no more worthless than any other CNN poll.

16. What difference does it make to CNN
Edited on Tue Jan-10-06 06:20 PM by Uncle Joe
as to how many people think one way or the other as to whether the law should be changed regarding warrants for wiretaps? Bush would not obey it regardless, that is the real issue, the question in their poll should be "should we have a king or emperor now as opposed to a President? Or put another way "Was George Washington wrong when he turned down a crown and said we just fought a war of independence to get rid of kings?

I believe if Bush shot a puppy on the White House lawn as a Valentine's Day present for Laura, CNN would come out with a poll asking if we should change the law to allow shooting puppies on Valentines Day!
