Wouldn't the Santorum set up K Street project prove that Abarmoff is a
GOP scandal only. Wasn't the K Street Project's purpose to funnel lobbying only through Republican channels, in effect to shut out the Dems from Abarmoff and other lobbying money? Anyone want to weigh in who knows mare than me about this? Sounds like it could be a valid point to be raised to fend off the GOP spin machine and to throw some grenades into Ricky boy's Re-election campaign.

1. You're exactly right...
Santorum founded it with aide from DeLay himself.

It should be used against Santorum, to the fullest.

And get this winner...Bill Frist put Lil' Ricky in charge of investigating lobbyists in the Senate and working out some rules that will prevent more Abramoff-ish antics.

Now that makes sense...OR NOT!

4. Standard Modus Operandi for this lot. We should
really use this as the antidote for, " The Dems took Abarmoff linked money too."

2. Yes. The story I have heard is that Santorum attends a bi- weekly
meeting with lobbying firms and basically tells them who to hire when they have openings. The hires are all loyal Republicans, often former GOP staffers. Since the K Street project began corporations have been threatened that if they don't hire GOP lobbyists, they may not get favorable legislation, or they may be investigated for something. Since the K Street project began, there has been a SUBSTANTIAL shift in corporate donations exclusively to the GOP.

5. I haven't seen it on the local news
I hope that the Casey campaign picks up on it. They have been doing a pretty good job thus far at exposing Santorum and getting his shenanigans in the local press.

6. Could be good fodder for an ad campaign, but
I don't know if it is too early or would register with the average PA'er. Haven't heard a peep about it here in Pittsburgh. Hopefully we will.

7. Yes
These people, Delay, Norquist, Ralph Reed, Abramoff, etc... are highly partisan players. There is no way they would willingly direct money to democrats.

This is a GOP scandal, through and through. It's wishful thinking to claim otherwise.

8. The question is how do we
get past the spin and get the truth into the head of the average American. Seems to me like the MSM is really clamping down. Last night on Hardball every talking head was a GOP major leaguer....whatever happened to equal time?
