Major Endorsement Imminent?

Nico Pitney at NotGeniuses.com is reporting:

CELEBRITY GUEST(S) ON THE CONFERENCE CALL
Watch for an announcement about the very famous celebrity or political figure who will announce Governor Dean on the 12/30 conference call. As soon as there is confirmation, it should be all over the official Blog. I don't know who it is yet; they're keeping it a secret from the state house party coordinators. But it's expected to be big news...

2. Major Endorsement Imminent for Edwards? For Clark? For Kerry?
We could shut down the board playing this silly game.

4. Goodness knows the damn board has been practically shut down
by the silly games of others, hasn't it?

As for the endorsement, I'm looking forward to hearing it at the house party I'm helping to organize. We've got a pretty sizable group coming...not bad for a rural area on the night before a holiday celebration.

6. Just this week:
Tuesday:

NH UAW Community Action Council Endorses Dean
MANCHESTER - Dean for America announced today that the New Hampshire UAW Community Action Council, the political arm of the UAW within the state, endorsed Governor Howard Dean for President. In their announcement, the Council members cited the groundswell of support they had seen among their membership for Governor Dean's strong and clear opposition to President Bush's irresponsible economic policy.

"I am very pleased to have the support of the UAW here in New Hampshire," said Governor Dean. "The UAW's 1000 members in New Hampshire recognize that we can't have four more years of this credit-card presidency. The UAW has always fought for hard-working Americans, and with their help, we are going to restore the promise of America."

Monday:

CWA Local 1400 Endorses Howard Dean for President
1,800 Member Union Cites Gov. Dean's help in Contract Negotiations and General Support for Worker Rights

MANCHESTER--The Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 1400 gave their endorsement to Governor Dean at a meeting in Portsmouth. The New Hampshire-based union, representing 1,800 workers at Verizon, cited Governor Dean's help in recent CWA contract negotiations and his support for worker rights in general as the reasons behind their endorsement.

"I am very pleased to have the support of CWA Local 1400," Governor Dean said. "Local unions such as these are fighting every day to keep good jobs in New Hampshire. They understand what President Bush's irresponsible economic policies have done and with their help, we will take this country back."

Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky Endorses Dean for President
WASHINGTON--Illinois Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky today endorsed Governor Dean citing his strong belief in providing health care for all Americans and his ability to motivate grassroots support.

"Howard Dean is making an offer to the American people that we can't refuse: the opportunity to take back our country from the special interests. I look forward to mobilizing that army of true patriots along with Gov. Dean," Congresswoman Schakowsky said.

West Virginia's Democratic Congressional Delegation Endorses Dean
WASHINGTON--In a dual endorsement in an important general election state, West Virginia's two Democratic congressmen have endorsed Governor Howard Dean. U.S. Representatives Nick Rahall and Alan Mollohan made the announcement today, citing Governor Dean's strength of character and his commitment to working families and the communities in which they live.

"Howard Dean can be the voice for jobs for West Virginians, and one for assuring comprehensive health care for our families and the retired coal miner. As a physician, healing, not division, is his passion. Our country and our allies could use a good dose of his common-sense approach to making people's lives better and our country stronger and safer," Rahall said.

"Governor Dean understands the investments states and this nation must make in our public infrastructure, good highways, clean water and adequate wastewater treatment. He understands the need for a national energy plan that maximizes our domestic resources and he knows the value of maintaining an environment that raises people's quality of life. I believe he knows full well that a secure America begins with a strong economy," Rahall said.

"Howard Dean has his priorities straight, and he is not afraid to stand up for the best interests of working people. He strongly believes that public investments, fair taxes, balanced budgets and sound Social Security and Medicare programs are vital to the prosperity and health of all our citizens. And he makes an outstanding case against the 'Bush tax' which is the harmful result of President Bush's single-minded push for tax cuts for wealthy Americans. Working families will pay a huge 'Bush tax' in the form of higher deficits, higher state and local taxes, and reduced investments in our communities," Mollohan said.

12. Harkin would be my guess as well
I think he was supposed to decide before the end of the year, so the timing would be just right.

13. Doubt it would be Carter...
He's said in the past that he wouldn't endorse until after the primaries and/or convention....
