ST. LOUIS - The Missouri primary has so divided Democrats that even the Carnahan family doesn't agree on which Democrat should challenge President Bush.
Front-runner John Kerry has the backing of former U.S. Sen. Jean Carnahan, who gave her coveted endorsement at a rally Wednesday in St. Louis. Her son Russ and daughter, Robin, are not endorsing any candidate, while her youngest son, Tom, supports retired Gen. Wesley Clark.
"What's happening in my family is not all that different than what's happening with Missouri Democrats: We're having a lively but good-spirited discussion about who is the best person to take on George Bush," Tom Carnahan said in an interview.

"I don't sense any hostility that's emerging as a result of that," she said. "In the end, we know we're going to have to come together. I think Democrats are going to be willing to do that."
