Don't rage at me, Kucinich supporters..
It's just a harmless poll. And both these guys need to realize they don't stand a chance and are just taking debate time away from the serious candidates.
But maybe that's just me.
So who needs to drop out, like, in the next week or two?

Their voices are crucial-- both represent viewpoints to the left of the other candidiates. They enrich the debate, bring out issues that need to be heard, and pave the way so the others can veer a little more left as well.

going to be exposed to the real left? They certainly get an overdose of the right wing. Dennis and Al provide a tiny bit of balance on the other side. These two candidates are dangerous to the establishment because they don't fit the righwing stereotype of liberals as Brie and Chablis types who drive BMWs.

Neither are in this to win, they're in this to make a point and keep issues at the forefront. More power to them. and I'm not a supporter of either. The point is, we are a diverse country, to prematurely shut off the voice of any qualified person is to do a huge disservice to the democratic process. Voices should be heard as long as possible before chosing one over the other.

and as for taking away debate time...I read the NYT and Washingon Post reviews of the debates. They mentioned Sharpton twice and Kucinich Once, that's not a whole lot of time and space they're wasting. Further The "major" candidates have begun taking parts of Kucinich's platform and are using it. They are forcing new issues to be discussed that wouldn't be otherwise and they're eentitled to stay as long as they want.

I want to see them both stay in as long as possible. They do force the recognition of important points. Kudos to Sharpton, for instance, for bringing up the matter of the stolen 2000 election. That issue should be HAMMERED this time around! You better believe that wound isn't healed....

I believe that both Kucinich and Sharpton add something important to the debate. Neither of them is afraid to speak out and tell it like it really is, which may well be why they are trailing. But that's also the reason that they should hang in there. I wouldn't, however, miss Lieberman.:shrug:
