How much does a win in a primary count if it's a squeaker?
The delegates and everything are confusing enough, and I know the early primaries are more media bumps than anything. So say Iowa results are something like this:

Dean 27
Gephardt 26
Kerry 24
Edwards 15
Kucinich 2
Clark 2
Lieberman 2
Sharpton 1
Braun >1

considering that the corporate media comlplex so desperatly is shoving "dean will be the candidate" down are throats or even forgetting about that, does a win have to be decisive to really get the full effect?

Simon lost Iowa and placed third in NH by very small margins. It killed his campaign.

3. Depends on who you are at this point
If Dean wins Iowa, even in a squeaker, and then wins NH by a bigger margin, he's in a great position.

If Gep wins Iowa by a squeaker, he may get some bump in NH but not much.

If Kerry wins Iowa by a squeaker, it will be a major victory, though probably not enough to propel him to a win in NH.

Anything could happen. Which is why I'm going to Iowa next weekend to help my candidate. :)

4. Most states are NOT winner takes all
for delegates. Depends on the individual state.
