One week from today, Tom Delay heads to the voting booth..
So Texans, what's the deal there anyway? Wouldn't it be hilarious if the "other Tom" (Tom Campbell) actually knocked him out in March !?!?!?

<--- For the R's it's Tom verses Tom --->

My wish is that Campbell knocks out bug boy, then Nick Lamspon (D) blows Campbell off the map in the General election!

Nick Lampson

Any feel on how the primary will go Texans? Did any local papers endorse one Tom or the other?

I've read that even in Delay's own District, his approval rating is dismal.

Will he get his ass kicked?

1. I read that thanks to his illegal redistricting scheme
A lot of his core voter base has been moved out of his district. He could very well have gerrymandered himself out of a job!

2. If Delay pulls off a win.. I can already hear the media ((( spin )))
We'll never hear the end of it!

What a morale boost for Democrats across the nation though if the creep loses in the primary!!

Wonder what the polls there are showing?

3. Johncoby is the man down there.
But it is looking a bit grim for "hot tub tom", Lampson is going to whip his butt. You heard it here first! I don't know about the primary, I avoid that republiCON stuff like the plague, in fact I'm pretty sure it is the plague, look at what it does to people!

7. I don't keep up with their internecine affairs.
I am actually in Congressional District 21 which is north of there (CD22). I follow it with more than a passing interest because it is Delay's district & I am aware of Johncoby & company's efforts to make his ;life miserable. I want him to lose outright to the Democrat, but I suppose it could be a case of being careful of what you wish for.

5. I woke to an NPR reporter asserting that despite Delay's corruption
problems, he is still quite popular with the people in his district...

referring to people in Sugarland...the reporter was quite "chirpy" and a little bit chorteling with the notion that Delay will win his distrct hands down.

i'm paraphrasing mind you. But make no mistake, it was a GOP, positive and strong message for tom delay, when it was supposed to be a fvcking report!

NPR - National Propaganda for Republicans...
