Roberts says Dems belong to "Committee Against Everything" Bush does
Was that suppose to be an insult?

I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that many in the minority would prefer to serve on “the Committee Against Everything the Bush Administration Does.” Nothing short of that will satisfy them. Unfortunately, political stunts like shutting down the Senate, as we saw in November, only serve to waste time from the important issues at hand.http://www.hillnews.com/thehill/export/TheHill/News/Frontpage/030106/ss_roberts.html

Was that suppose to be an insult?

Bush/Republican Agenda:

Destroying America's health care system
Trying to steal Social Security
Leaving every child behind
Outsourcing jobs
Outsourcing national security
Putting the nation at risk
Pushing the Alternative Minimum Tax on Americans
Turning oil industry royalties into subsidies
Spending $500,000,000 on the Iraq war
Falsifying WMD information
Continuing an illegal war in Iraq
Failing to deal effectively with the Middle East peace process
Pushing a failed foreign policy that resulted in a win for Hamas
Leaking the name of a CIA agent -- Plame outing
Supporting Republican gerrymandering (Republican version of election reform---create districts in which it’s no longer necessary to suppress the African American vote at the polls)
Stonewalling real election reform
Sanctioning torture
Illegally spying on American
Trying to avert blame for the Bush administration's incompetent response to Katrina
Appointing cronies at every level and in every branch of government
Lying about dealings with Abramoff and other criminals
Allowing Halliburton to rip off tax payers
Obstructing Congressional oversight
Enabling a dictatorial-style government in America
Endorsing payola
Other law-breaking and unethical activities

Roberts approves of Bush:

13. Roberts has a heavy conscience. He started opposing Iraq and then...
backed off. It was several months ago that he gave a speech about foreign wars that produce nothing but trouble, that is he gave the speech once. The probably gave him a "Weekend at Gitmo's" to bring hi around or something. Whatever they did, his "chip" is in place and functioning well. It's simiply unbearable to watch and listen to him.

14. The shut down wouldn't have been necessary if HE kept his committments
Bush managed to get agreement that Part 2 of the WMD report would be done after the election - because it might hurt Bush. (duh) After the election, Roberts quietly ignored part 2. Kerry's letter demanding it be done (and referencing the DSM to suggest there was a LOT to be investigated) was signed by 9 other Senators. While this should have been signed by all Democrats, some had political reasons for not signing it. Roberts response was to write Kerry that it was not needed.

So who was playing politics??? Also, where is the report he said was "almost ready"?

17. How's that Phase II investigation report coming, Senator?
Anyone who's ever taught or attended a class knows the plaintive wail of the dilatory scholar: Didn't get his paper done, and spends a great deal of productive time whining about how he doesn't have any productive time to get anything done. The reason the Senate was shut down for one whole afternoon, Mr. Roberts (and you know the why very well) is because you hadn't done squat-ah about the second phase of your investigation into the corrupt Bush administration's pretext for invading Iraq.

And now, months later, you still haven't done anything, but you're spending time you should be devoting to your investigation whining about how the Democrats shut down the Senat for an afternoon.

Shame on you, Mr. Roberts. Shut up and do your job, buttmunch.
