Question for Freepers: Is Oh-So-Brave-Bush going to visit Iraq next???
The freepers are wetting themselves over Bush stopping at a military base in Afghanistan, like he is some brave hero, or a true warrior. What a bunch of dolts! If Bush is so damn brave, why doesn't he stop in Iraq, and take a nice drive down the road from Baghdad to the airport? He is a coward, and this was a publicity stunt. Funny thing is - no one cares. He has lost the hearts and minds of Americans, nevertheless the Arab world, except for the crazy KoolAid drinkers. And they are really nuts!

From freeperville:

Bush flew into Afghanistan on what was supposed to have been a flight to India, where tens of thousands gathered in New Delhi to protest his visit.

Oh, this just gives me additional glee over this story. He stiffed the protesters while going into Afghanistan to support our troops.

Love it!

I gotta say it: your President has style. He's in a class all by himself, and a true Wartime President.

Good effort, Sir! Nicely done.

2. Did you hear the sound bite? He was asked about OBL:
his response was that we're hunting for him and we'll get him! They might as well send a cardboard cut-out over there, with a string they can pull for the 'appropriate' answers.

9. It's unbelievably silly, isn't it?
Every photo I've ever seen of Truman, Eisenhower, JFK . . . they just have on unassuming suits and ties. (That match!)

The more casual presidents like Carter, Ford, and Clinton--hell even George Sr.--could be seen in a windbreaker or sweater on occasion.

But not all this silly preznintial "garb". Official seals on everything. The more I think about it, the more bizarre it becomes.

Then there's those absurd backdrops he has behind his podium when he "speechifies". Those thing look like they were designed by a bunch of overzealous third-graders.

I remember reading JFK's Profiles of Courage when I was a kid. Reading about all the great presidents . . . I just always assumed that they would be thoughtful, serious, well-read individuals . . . classy people, who cared about people and the remarkable document known as the Constitution.

NOT!

8. jeez, they're morans....
"Bush flew into Afghanistan on what was supposed to have been a flight to India, where tens of thousands gathered in New Delhi to protest his visit."

maybe because he was afraid to go to India?

He was just in Cincinnati the other day, and he was too chicken shit to come to my neighborhood where there are poor people who will disagree with him, so he went to white bread Indian Hills - how is he brave again?

And although I don't know if it happened because I had to go out of town that day, there was discussion of closing the highway for him. What a f'ing coward if he's so afraid to openly travel in "his own" country.

10. Yes, he stays clear of neigborhoods like yours and mine . . .
And, have you noticed, how the perimeter around him during his appearances keeps getting larger and larger?

The SS sets up "Free Speech Zones" for protesters.

Last time I looked, Jefferson kinda intended that the whole country was to be a free speech zone.

How Orwellian does it get?
