McGovern seemed to be looking for a more diplomatic conclusion to the normal phrase of "it bit them in the ass" ... what he came up with to complete his sentence was: "it shot them in the face"

McGovern said this just now on C-Span while talking about the risk every member of Congress will face this fall if they don't embrace the bandwagon for reform ... he said the American people have had it with the "behind closed doors" processes they see happening in the Congress ...
