One bomb exploded outside the consulate setting 10 cars on fire, police official Javed Akbar said. He did not know whether the wounded were attached to the consulate, or whether they were injured by the blast or the fire.
Another bomb exploded about the same time in a parking lot of a hotel yards away, Akbar said.
The blasts occurred days before a visit by President Bush to Pakistan, a key U.S. ally in the war against terrorism.
