I just thought of something cool, remembewr when in 2000 Al Gore picked Lieberman to be his running mate and at the same time run for re-election.
Well wouldn't of be cool if he diddn't keep onto his seat, what do you think would of happen besides him not being in the Senate anymore?

1. There is no chance of that. He runs in connecticut. People will vote |

for him on both sides of the fence. Just not the progressives so much. His record is good on everything but war as a liberal. The centrists who didn't vote for him before - will now. The old fashioned conservatives too.
But the GOP is hot on his tail like they are for all "cultural leaders" like Sharpton and others. They like to "flip" leadership to the dark side. To garner a few % points more of that cultural group. That may have been easy when nothing was ever tried in terms of "new american century". But it has been tried and failed. People are not going to go from voting for a democratic Lieberman to a repuke. Or an independant. Not in Connecticut. And that is the area he represents.
I think all this talk of Lieberman is more games. It is an election in Connecticut and not a wish list for all America. Though neocons would be thrilled if Joe lost. They could then say "see - it isn't your party - you have no leadership or representation in the Dems". Neocons would be thrilled if Joe is attacked by people in his own party.
His record on everything but the middle east is very good. And his hawkishness on the middle east is understandable when you consider his perspective. And the "jew-baiting" that has been rising of late. Just think of the things the PM of Iran has been saying.
