Will anyone have the guts to make a POLITICAL statement at the OSCARS?

I thought I would get the word out in the hopes of someone coming forward tommorrow night, ala Michael Moore.

I know Michael got booed, but I think the time is right for someone to stand up for the people. It's just the Oscars but gets lots of publicity!

Maybe George Clooney, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, even Jon Stewart.

I think they would probably get a standing ovation!!!

Any predictions!!!!!!

It's outrageous that there's such pressure to keep political comments out of the speeches. If they win and they want to use their 30 seconds to advocate for whatever, well that's OK by me.

We give these guys the power to determine what we see on tv and in the movies and they decide what we should see is them giving awards to each other. It seems so masturbatory to me.

I think it will probably win something. The movie shows that people shouldn't ask if someone is a criminal but whether they are involved in a criminal act. We need to learn this as a country, when you only seek to incriminate and not to actually protect you will hurt innocent people. Crime investigation is the Kevin Bacon game with all of society, anyone can somehow be related to a crime or a criminal. Simply seeking out that kind of information doesn't do the accused justice.
