Thank you, U.S. District Judge Larry Alan Burns
not only for sending "Duke" Cunningham to prison for 8 years, but for your comments, as reported on NPR early this afternoon.

"You weren't wet. You weren't cold. You weren't hungry and yet you did these things."

Also, according to the report, the judge expressed concerns that the Pentagon spent a lot of money on items it did not want and did not need, only because Cunningham made it purchase them from the defense contractor. At the expense of us - the taxpayers.

And when will we start watching over the life style of our elected officials to see that something does not add up? Cunningham led a lavish lifestyle, parked his Rolls in Congress parking lot, flashed his boat and his expensive house, all on a vet pension and a Congressman salary.

1. A lot more "Dukes" where he came from.
It amazes me as to how arrogant and open he was with his greed. www.talkingpointsmemo.com is doing a great job on tracking the growing corruption expose. Next up, the #3 guy in the CIA who funneled a lot of black book business to the same people bribing Cunningham.

2. I certainly hope so. And these are the people that cut
social programs because of the "deficit" while cutting taxes to the wealthiest people and, of course, get their bribes.
