Republican Congressman Predicts Bush Impeachment
Republican Congressman Ron Paul has gone on record with his prediction that the impeachment of George W. Bush is right around the corner but warned that in the meantime the US was slipping perilously close to a dictatorship.

Appearing on the Alex Jones Show and addressing the port sell-out, Paul stated that, "it probably will contribute to the Republican's failure in the next election."

Asked if the Democrats would use gains in the mid-term elections to set in motion impeachment proceedings against George W. Bush, Paul responded,

"I predict that would happen."

"I think he (Bush) has numerous things that the Democrats if they get a chance, not only will they be after him for that but it will be payback for the Clinton impeachment."

I know it's infowars, but can anyone verify that Ron Paul did indeed say this?

1. Payback my ass
It has nothing to do with payback, and EVERYTHING to do with Bush's attempt to establish a dictatorship, and launch an endless, incompetent, brutal war. It has everything to do with the fact that he doesn't give a squat about anyone but his cohorts.

The absolute corruption of the military-industrial complex, which is now being exposed because of the Duke-Stir, should be our theme. Clean it up. It isn't fair to the young people asked to serve, and it certainly isn't fair to the American people.

3. You're right there are legitimate grounds - however Dems are too
timid and scared and divided to pursue the matter. I guess it's just not important enuf. Paul assumes that Dems are as cutthroat as GOPers - I see no evidence of this.

But, speaking for myself, I couldn't help but feel a little schadenfreude if shrub gets impeached. Just sayin' There are acts far more immoral than having DNA on a blue dress and if shrub is finally brought to account for his murderous, pompous, STUPID crimes against this country and the world, I can't help but feel that Big Dog can stand a little taller.

6. It is payback
That is how the Republicans would be spiining it. Tit for tat. But I have to admit, even if the Dems take control, impeaching Bush is not going to happen. I don't think the American people want to stomach another impeachment.

8. You might be right, however, mho
impeachment of Bush is the only way to take back our Constitution and make impeachment a meaningful method of holding the President to account.

If we don't impeach because of what happened during the Clinton debacle, we might as well consign Impeachment to history.
