Mississippi more progressive than South Dakota??

Mississippi passed a ban on abortion but they are allowed for rape and incest. There is all of one clinic in the state. One Mississippi state representative who was opposed to allowing abortions for rape and incest said that "God does not make mistakes." And Missouri wants to establish a state religion, "christian" of course. Damn good thing these people are being persecuted or God Knows what they would be up to.

the South Dakota legislator on the Lehrer News Hour last Friday, describing how the rape of a young girl could be considered life-threatening, and therefore her abortion could still be allowed by this law? His detail in describing the rape (ripping, sodomizing, brutal) made me wonder about his fantasy life. I grew up in South Dakota, and I can't believe that "The Handmaid's Tale" is startiing in my home state.
