Rove plan for 06 .... Abortion will replace terror & gays as the issue ...
Edited on Mon Mar-06-06 10:03 PM by Botany
.... that will mysteriously turn out "faith voters" in record numbers to keep
repugs in power. Exit polls and pre vote polling will show repugs going down nationwide
but with HAVA, dirty machines, and a complicit media on that awful wednesday after the
1st tuesday in November ...... Headlines will say "FAITH BASED VOTERS TURN THE TIDE"

Guaranteed that the abortion issue will be front and center but will not show up in front
of the SCOTUS before November .... keep the pot simmering.

Hard won Ohio knowledge here:
1. In 2004 we were ready for 2000 but "they had moved on" Expect new shit this time.
2. We need exit polls outside of every polling station ... something like a UPC (bar code)
that will give every voter a hard copy receipt of their vote and also record data so as to compare
it to what the machines produce
3. Punch the fuckers in the mouth from the get go .... no more Mr. Nice Guy .... these are cheaters
who break the law, blow their noses on the Constitution, and have the media buffaloed. Show
the Average person that Red China now owns the deed to America .... or that "they" aren't really Christian
after all.
4. We need to go and eat from their 'fridge, take their women out, and charge it to their credit cards ....
in other words .... work the republican neighborhoods ...... Grannie not getting her meds = thanx to the repugs
Jr. not getting his pell grant = thanx to the repugs ..... Job to India = thanx to repugs Osoma still free = thanx to repugs.
5. Call em out for the wedge issues and swift boating when it happens no more passive politics. Do this from jump street
6. Young Anti war people should invade College repug meetings and pass out recruiting forms.
7. We need to be the media and get "our message" out
8. Use the word ACCOUNTABILITY when speaking of bush and his actions.

I want a Stevie Nicks November aka LANDSLIDE.

2. Ignore abortion - its a wedge issue
Don't let them control the debate and discussion and divide Dems.

Stick to the real issues and deal with abortion later, after we've won.

4. A majority of Americans are pro-choice
I don't see how Democrats could be hurt on the issue, especially if the SCOTUS overturns Roe vs. Wade. A lot of suburban soccer moms who vote Republicans on taxes and national security will vote Dem should it happen.

5. When is it ever NOT the issue?
I swear to God, every freaking election cycle the right wing makes some token statement or action on abortion and it becomes THE campaign issue, period. I see the Rove express is right on time again this year.

Seriously, are there people that would be cool with living in a complete fucking fuedal/fascist dictatorship as long as abortion is legal? Does anyone seriously think that if we do go completely into fascist dictatorship, you will still be able to get an abortion? Or that getting an abortion will be a real priority when you are effectively a slave?

One goddam election cycle, out of the last 4 decades now, I'd like to see a campaign focus on the fact that the poor are making less today than they did in 1967. I'd like to see some focus on the vacuuming of our jobs and manufacturing out of the country. I'd like to see some focus on the absolute RAPE of the constitution and attacks on our civil rights OTHER than abortion. We might stand a chance of actually getting more people to vote for our side, and therefore KEEP abortion legal.

But since abortion is "illegal" now in dumbfuck, dakota and fuck your sister, missisippi, I have no doubt that it will become THE "focus" for this election and the United States, the Constitution and the People be damned.

Oh, that and Broke Back Mountain evidently.
