Are the Democrats "playing politics" with the Dubai ports deal?

And it they were, would that be bad? George Bush and the Republicans have stepped in it with their defense of this deal. Many of the wiser Repubs understand this is a hand grenade they are holding. If this was the issue that threw the Repubs out of power, would it be worth "playing politics" for? Don't doubt for a second that this is a hot potato.

As others have noted, this Administration is willing to outsource national security to another country. This is where the Democrats need to draw the line in the sand. No further. We will stand together on this issue. We, as a Party, stand against this deal. If they wish to call it "playing politics", then so be it.

5. That's it in a nutshell

LEt me add this-Once again everyone is applying the normal rules of behavior and decorum to dealing with this White House (Rove). That is the key mistake, they don't play by the same rules in fact they take advantage of that very act. They have repeatedly and clearly broken the "rules" and succeeded in doing so. Every issue that comes up everyone goes through the same procedure and every time Rove goes outside and flattens their tires, runs back in and screams "Some one flatten your tires", and while everyone is taking care of that he does what he wants and then acts as if anyone who mentions what he did is not playing fair.

9. I think the majority of the opposition to the ports deal is concern

for national security and it's not limited to Democrats. If it can be used to the advantage of the Democrats I'm all for it. I don't have to tell anyone here that we are as concerned about national security as anyone else and for someone to speculate that racism is involved in opposing this deal is just ludicrous.
