4. WHOA!!! First, this is Worldnet...
and anything there is suspect.

But, assuming this is true, and it just might be, we're only talking about a truck driver throwing his hat in the ring in a primary. For the Senate.

Of course he's running as a Democrat because the incumbant Republican ain't having no primary. And, of course, everyone but Worldnet and their fellow travelers gotta take this as one sick joke.

7. And BTW, it is a true story
There's another version of it from a Toledo TV station posted here:

(sigh) The poor guy! He's no doubt been turned down for so many rest area trysts that it's no wonder he's bitter toward gays!

:nopity:

12. Yeah. I'm seeing it in emails now, too....
but it kinda bugs me that everyone sez he's "running for the Senate" when he's just trying to get in the primary.

How's it work out there-- most places I know of you either get the nod from party hacks or get piles of signatures.

Any chance this pantload could actually get on the ballot?

5. "The trucker, who hails from Fremont, Ohio ...
says there needs to be more adherence to biblical values in government, business and education ..."

Well, personally, I'd say he ought to climb back up in his rig and get the "hail" back to Fremont.

6. He'd be perfect for the Crazy Party!!!!
He's give Alan Keyes a run for his money.

I'd pay to see him debate Brown.

11. What I don't get ...
... is he advocates killing "practicing" gays.

Hell, by this time I'm pretty much got it perfected so I guess I'm safe from the wrath of this wingnut.

13. That was my first thought too.
I mean really, if they are still practicing, obviously they haven't perfected it yet, so why the concern? The people who think like that douchebag are idiots anyhow.

14. Well, one thing though
The trucker, who hails from Fremont, Ohio, says there needs to be more adherence to biblical values in government, business and education

If he insists on that, it can't only be the punitive "kill the gays, whip the heathens" stuff. They need to adhere to everything the Bible says to do.

Leviticus 19:10
Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien.

Leviticus 25:35
" 'If one of your countrymen becomes poor and is unable to support himself among you, help him as you would an alien or a temporary resident, so he can continue to live among you.

Exodus 23:11
but during the seventh year let the land lie unplowed and unused. Then the poor among your people may get food from it, and the wild animals may eat what they leave. Do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.

Deuteronomy 15:7
If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.

Deuteronomy 24:12
If the man is poor, do not go to sleep with his pledge in your possession.

Deuteronomy 24:14
Do not take advantage of a hired man who is poor and needy, whether he is a brother Israelite or an alien living in one of your towns.

Psalm 82:3
Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.

Proverbs 13:23
A poor man's field may produce abundant food, but injustice sweeps it away.

Proverbs 18:23
A poor man pleads for mercy, but a rich man answers harshly.

Leviticus 19:18
" 'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.

Leviticus 18:19
" 'Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period.

Leviticus 19:28
" 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves.

Leviticus 11:7
And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.

Leviticus 11:10
But all creatures in the seas or streams that do not have fins and scales—whether among all the swarming things or among all the other living creatures in the water—you are to detest.

Leviticus 19:19
" 'Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.
" 'Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed.

And so on, and so on. Goodbye shell fishing and pork industries. Minimum wage will need to be drastically increased, as will aid to the poor. Tattoo parlors will need to be shut down and those who practice the art on the side prosecuted. Manufacturers of clothing will be required to stick to single-material fabrics only (no more poly-cotton blends or ramie-cotton sweaters). Farmers would be restricted to one type of crop per field.

Yeah, "adhering to Biblical principles" sounds nice when they get to cherry-pick the principles. But if they were called on to follow all of them I can bet they'd change their mind right quick.
