101st blog: 'Irratated Eagle'
Clarksville TN > theleafchronicle.com > 101st blog

Hello again everyone,

Sorry it has been awhile, but i have been trying to get my life in order finding a way out of having to return to this hell hole of a place called Iraq for a 3rd tour. Well i had a very enjoyable mid-tour leave and hate to be back. First off let me start by saying that that person that left the animal cruelty note on this blog is my loving wife who did so for me cause i was afraid to voice my opinion on that. See if you have served then you know that in the army you lose your whole freedom of speech privledges. Well on the whole sleeping with NCO arguement you have had going on, i must say that i do not know the facts, but have seen both allegations happen manyh different times. Women have it harder sometimes, i know in my area there are about 20 females to 600 something males, but the women then also know their power and will sleep with unsuspecting people(yes sometimes of higher rank) to get their own way and then turn around and blackmail their partner. On the flip side, i have seen poor females forced into doing unmentionable things by higher enlisted individuals because they were too afraid to stand up for themselves. So it goes both ways on the front line. I would also say that i dont fault the writer for any of her articles because she was and is doing her job. With that being said i would like to give everyone an update. THings are worse than ever over here, 3 days after i was back from leave i lost 4 more good friends to an IED. So please if you are going to respond to me that you know how it feels DONT!!! Unless you actualy do know and have had that exact thing happen to you. All the company and platoon leaders out here are starting to question the higher ups orders now, cause we go out of the wire for NOTHING, except to get shot at. The enemy has adapted and we have at least 1 injury every day out here, and hey guess what america, WE ARENT ALLOWED TO DO A DAMN THING ABOUT IT cause the people who make the rules arent out here actually fighting, they are sitting in a former high standing Iraqi's palace watching their AFN and planning their next moral boosting visit to an other base. I am sorry but i truly cant take it anymore. THey say iraq in the verge of a civil war, well hey guess what a lot of military personel are on the verge of mutiny. This has got to stop i pray (and i never thought i would say this) that we hurry the hell up and get a democrat in office, one who isnt a stubborn little child who just wont cut his losses and make thew families in OUR country happy by bringing their family members home. I refuse to play this PC game of winning the hearts and minds anymore. These people do not want us here. THEY TELL US WHEN WE ARE OUT IN THE CITY AS WE GET PELTED WITH ROCKS. Well i need to go and calm down now, as always i hope i didnt offend anyone, this is just one man who is actually live the horror daily with stories from the front line. Thank you for listening.

4. from another Puking Buzzard
I won't try and tell you I know how you feel about losing friends in wartime because I don´'t exactly know how you feel.
I know how I felt when I lost freinds in a former war so I can tell you about that. I was in the 101st when you still had to go to jumpschool to get in. You can see me in the 101st in a previous war at http://www.hackworth.com/photo0022.html
Mostly it really really sucked, especially when you know they were lost uselesssly, that the truth was all our best efforts only made the situation worse.
Here's what you can do. You can't protest when youre in the Army because you}ll lose everything you worked so hard for in a Baghdad minute. But if youre like me you'll start protesting the moment they cut you loose. THAT will be your particular "Rendezvous With Destiny."
We need you and people like you to lead the Democratic Party into the future
Do it for the friends you lost--this is the way to honor them
God Bless, troop
Above The Rest!
