I can't believe *they* voted to remove Clinton from office...!!! (a rant)
The f*cking GOPers, particularly the two senators from my state, who voted to excuse Bush's lawbreaking with regard to the illegal wiretaps.

WHAT A BUNCH OF F*CKING HYPOCRITES!!!

This isn't about "politics," you worthless pieces-of-sh*t! This is about the "rule of law." You remember that, don't you GOP! You used it enough during the Clinton years.

You can all GO TO HELL!!! Roberts, Brownback, and the sorry lot rest of you.

GO TO HELL!!!

You are my enemy!

Your party is nothing but a band of lying thugs and cutthroats. You're all traitors and can kiss my hemorrhoids!

YOU HAVE NO HONOR--NO INTEGRITY--and you can just f*cking shut up about being the party of "personal responsibility."

I hope you all rot in HELL, choking on your own phlegm and suffering painful lesions and boils!!!

:mad::grr::mad::grr::mad::grr::mad::grr::mad::grr::mad::grr::mad::grr::mad::grr:

3. i share your anger
i know how you feel. it's frustrating. i am just as angry at the spineless democrats. who represents us anymore? it seems like no one will go up against these monsters. in 2008, i don't even feel like voting for a dem. they are all a bunch of sellouts. sorry, but i'm just bitter. it will soon be 8 years and nothing has been done to challenge these motherf*ckers.

6. I just don't know anymore.....
I am African American.....my dad who is the sweetest man on this earth always has said there will be another civil war in this country....as child, as teenager and as a young adult....I thought this was just talk...

I honestly think he was right...it's going to be an uprising in this country never seen before....I have been saying i think the country is going to split into two countries...Our Blue country which will honor the constitution and it's citizens, provide health care for all and an ecomonomy that's optimistic and reaching for the future....

...and theirs the Red country which will be based off of "1984 and The Handmaids tail" and ruled by RobberBarrons while the people suffer.

If we are not able to remove these people and prosecute them...this is my prediction....

8. Imagine what a Red America would devolve into..
It'll be Christo-fascist in the extreme, have lots of guns and LOW WAGES. It'd probably wouldn't stay intact more than a year, but if it somehow survived it'd be worse than any third world dictatorship. The church would have lots of power and people like Dobson would start passing laws and punishing the "guilty" by death. Witch hunts anyone? In a word, it would be hell.

Someone should write a book about it.

14. hope it's cool
to answer 10 day old posts - but I had to say it:

Please see Revolution in 2100 A.D. by Robert Heinlein (1953). The theocracy is nearly exactly your description. I think there was even a guy named Dobson in it. The borders were nearly the red / blue divide as well. It lasted about 50 years.

.....I'm out of here. I'm Caucasian and I'm not so sure what your Dad is not right on target. Sure gives a person food for thought anyway.

Just one request, where ever "Blue Country" is PLEASE let's not make it where the weather is too hot.

7. Good post
I was thinking about this today. The total hypocrisy that these fuckers voted to actually impeach Clinton, when they're excusing this disastrous, dishonest piece of garbage who currently resides in the WH is truly Alice In Wonderland.

9. Politics at it's root is getting people to agree with you
Hate is pain, it's your own experience, you feel it much more than the object of your hatred.

The large majority of the population are not consumed with hate. We have to reach them. But they're not going to join us in hatred. People just don't enjoy being wretched. It hurts.

Isn't hate basically born of the frustration that you can't get the population to agree with you? (After all, if they did, we would have a vast majority.)

What's your plan to convince them?

Democracy is about votes. Hate is about violence.

10. Well, let's have a look at this quote, shall we?
Democracy is about votes. Hate is about violence.

I agree, "Democracy is about votes." But what happened in 2000? And in 2004? And in 2002? The voting was rigged. So where is your "democracy?" The GOPers in the senate just "voted" to exonerate King George of any wrongdoing. Democracy? The GOPers will say it is! But perhaps it was just the "illusion of democracy" since it did not address the culpability of Bush and his ilk. "Democracy" was used to suppress the will of the people, not advance it.

"Hate is about violence" That's true. And look how well this ploy has worked--

1) Timothy McVeign was all about hate. But we now live in a country he would be proud of. And he helped to create that country. Murder 168 people with a bomb and watch the country swing right to embrace neo-Con fascism 5 years later.

2) Don't like abortion? Then terrorize dozens of clinics and kill and injure doctors and staff and watch as two states pass laws banning abortion.

3) Finance terrorism and provide terrorists to murder 3,000 Americans, then sit back and have the POTUS fight for you to close a multi-billion dollar deal managing 21 seaports of the country that your pal Osama attacked with your help.

Sure, "hate is violence," but it sure looks like it works, doesn't it?

Sorry, but my empathy tank has been running low lately...

Edited on Sun Mar-19-06 09:47 PM by radio4progressives
when Clinton was being impeached. Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo...

never mind the endless bombings on Iraq throughout a goodly portion of Clinton's administration ?

Were we not a nation at war?

that seems to be the rw screaming meme right now... "we are a nation at war!" censuring our commander in chief is treasonous!

blah blah blah blah..

Edited on Mon Mar-20-06 03:18 AM by TheBaldyMan
won't swear to anything, 9-11 commmission, business dealings, if he knew Abramoff, etc.

That's the point, Bush never says anything under oath. If he did get sworn in he would be surrounded by lawyers all advising him to plead the fifth.
