4. He did very well
I'm not sure if he will be able to beat Allen simply because of fundraising but he will definately give him a run for his money.

We got this other guy Miller who I mentioned, hes a little conservative on the social issues but i like a guy who got his start in politics by working for RFK.

13. Yes I checked Newsmeat
and I also heard he supported Allen for Governor.

Claudia Kennedy endorsed Miller today.

Here is one reason why:

She was referring to comments Webb made and articles he wrote in the 1970s and 1980s. One of them was a 1979 article in The Washingtonian magazine titled "Women Can't Fight."

"There is a place for women in our military, but not in combat," Webb wrote in the magazine article.

He also wrote that by admitting them to West Point, the Air Force Academy and the Naval Academy "in the name of equality, this country has sterilized the whole process of combat leadership training, and our military forces are doomed to suffer the consequences."

17. No, but I was well aware of that
I'm not defending his past actions. I'm just saying that he did a good job on the show and could do well against Allen.

6. Not really "new" news
George Allen is a typical Republican airhead. The only he can do is talk football. I guess his father was a pro football or college football coach.
How does that qualify his son to be a U.S. Senator? How the hell should I know? We have an intellectual nitwit for a president, go figure.

There had been some speculation that he might be the heir-apparent to Un-curious George. He has that folksy image and he can talk football and sports really well. Hell, George Jr. can even finish a complete sentence!

I still think things will be set up for Jeb to take the throne but that's only speculation on my part and not really based on any hard facts.

16. The thing is that Colbert always pretends to be a Republican on his show
This is the first time he's thrown out such a blantant insult at a Republican. He of course followed it by saying sarcastically that "That's good though, because I hate intellectuals" but it was still fucking hillarious.
