Medical question relative to rape

I've heard some nonsense about a yahoo up in South Dakota wanting to exempt virgins and religious girls from the abortion ban. Don't know if its true but do they ever not surprise us?

My question: Post rape, can it be determined by physical evidence that the victim was a virgin prior to the rape? How does a member of the South Dakota legislature know that the victim was a virgin?

As in regards to the question, yeah, I wonder how one would tell, too. I also agree with the "never cease to amaze" bit. Sheesh, sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or cry at some of the things these people on the right say. Besides, don't these people not want abortion legal because they call it murder? Then how it is ok for a virgin girl who was raped or her being "religious" make abortion not be murder? Gee, I'm sorry, I thought murder was murder. Not only that, but throwing religion into something like that is totally not fair! What are they trying to say? So, if a girl gets raped and she happens to be an athiest, she isn't allowed to have an abortion? Knowing them, they'd probably say "she had it coming because she's an athiest".

3. What if a woman gets raped, doesn't get pregnant,

then gets raped again later and does get pregnant? Even if it can be proven that a woman was a virgin before she was raped, what if she gets raped repeatedly over time? I would bet that this happens much more frequently than most people realize. This whole thing is just insane. :eyes:
