No more jay walking, gadnabbit!

What a song and dance routine.

(I'm referring to the "crackdown" Congress is rolling out in Committee and proposed legislation. "What's worse? Paying for lunch or dinner? Let's discuss"...Few in Congress are addressing the blatant money schemes going on...)

1. There are exceptions to the jaywalking rule during a time of war
It would encourage the enemy by seeing the country's lawmakers weakened by mere petty infractions.

2. (serious aside) Rep. Slaughter (NY) nails it, though.
Says Mr. Cunningham knew what he was doing when he made his "bribe list" on a napkin with the House logo on it, but the unanswered question, she says, is who in the Pentagon was a part of the "give and take"...
